Imanis moves to new laboratory space

On January 21, Imanis Life Sciences moved to a new laboratory space in the Rochester Technology Campus. The new 25,000-square foot facility features molecular biology labs, several tissue culture spaces, as well as lab space designated for the performance of correlative testing for oncolytic virus clinical trials. Despite record low temperatures, the ribbon cutting ceremony on January 30 proceeded as scheduled, to officially open the new facility.

Plans to build a larger company space in the former IBM building began in earnest in 2017, and construction of the new facility began in 2018. The new space is significantly larger than Imanis’ previous space within the Minnesota BioBusiness Center. It addresses the company’s growing need for additional laboratory space to accommodate increased research, manufacturing, and contract service demands and office space for the growing Imanis staff. Adjoining undeveloped space provides opportunities for future growth as the company grows further.
