Why Sponsors Choose Imanis for Contract Research

We approach every project as a scientific partnership, rooted in a team committed to meaningfully contributing to overcoming challenges in viral, cell, and gene therapy. Based on your goals, we carefully develop project plans and, as needed, troubleshoot and adapt throughout the project to ensure success.

  • Highly trained, PhD-level scientists in virology, immunology, molecular biology, oncology, and cell biology
  • Cross-trained technicians who can handle many different types of projects and adapt as needed
  • Integrated in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo capabilities
  • Optimized systems for viruses and vectors for faster generation of quality virus stocks
  • Pre-developed assays to thoroughly characterize many viruses or vectors

Types of Research Projects We Support

We are especially well-suited for niche projects that demand more customization and highly technical work that will require more troubleshooting to accomplish.

Tumor Model Validation

Confirm your tumor model behaves as expected in vivo by verifying growth, transgene expression, and therapeutic response before your critical research window passes.

In Vivo Efficacy & Biodistribution

Get the mouse study data you need to evaluate how your therapy performs in a living system, from therapeutic effect to post-administration vector biodistribution.

Platform Development

Build and refine the viral or vector platform that will carry your therapy forward, from early proof-of-concept through optimization.

FAQs About Contract Research with Imanis

Be prepared to share: the context of the work you are requesting be performed, details of any sponsor-specific materials or technology that will need to be used or incorporated into the research, including any protocols, goals of the research, considered success metrics, any regulatory level requirements, project timelines, and any third-party partners you wish us to work with.

Our primary specialties are virus and vector engineering and targeting at a preclinical level. We are well-suited for proof-of-concept studies and therapy development and optimization, but our services support work at all levels.

Because of our deep expertise in the virus and vector area, we have unique capabilities that make us well-suited for highly technical research. We know what controls are critical for interpreting data properly and how to quickly troubleshoot issues, and we can provide in-depth advice on experimental direction and next steps. We also have:

  • The skills and resources to build new virus and vector therapies in-house
  • Assay services that help us facilitate the characterization of new therapies, including the ability to develop new assays
  • In vivo services that support key mouse studies for candidate clinical therapies
  • Optimized systems for certain viruses and vectors, allowing us to more quickly generate quality virus stocks

Yes! In fact, we often work as a single partner for the full spectrum of studies, which has scientific and operational benefits. What we learn from in vitro work can inform in vivo or ex vivo work, helping us tailor experiments to yield the most informative data and increase the likelihood of success. From an operational perspective, this also simplifies logistics by minimizing the need to ship materials back and forth and allowing us to leverage in-house controls.

We are highly adaptable and responsive to necessary shifts in a project’s direction. We have a high concentration of PhDs on our team, all of whom are available as resources for the project and are used to working together to search literature, identify solutions, and get up to speed quickly on new ideas. Likewise, our technicians are cross-trained across multiple project types, enabling them to quickly adjust.
