Tumor Cell Lines
Built to Behave

Study human cancers in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo using models with thorough characterization data and proven performance. Our catalog offers validated tools that work as intended, so you can focus on your discovery, not whether your model works.

Why Imanis Cell Lines?

Reporters for Easy Tracking

All Imanis tumor cell lines stably express reporter genes for easy quantitation of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. Driven by the constitutively active SFFV promoter, the reporters are highly expressed in cell cultures and tumors, providing for sensitive detection. Our bright firefly luciferase (Fluc) cell lines can be tracked by noninvasive in-life imaging, so tumor growth, metastases, and response to therapeutics can be tracked longitudinally in the same mice. Our enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP) cell lines and dual Fluc/eGFP cell lines offer enhanced flexibility for in vitro applications and in vivo post-mortem analyses.

Tumor Models for Targeted Cancer Therapies

Newer cancer therapies rely heavily on interactions between therapies, tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), and often, the immune system. Accounting for TAA expression levels in tumor cell models is therefore of critical importance in therapy development and efficacy assessments. Imanis tumor cell lines include models expressing many key TAAs of interest. Additionally, several Imanis cell lines have been engineered to express altered levels of TAAs, such as CD19, CD20, and BCMA, and are available individually or as part of cell panels with a range of TAA expression levels.

Lentiviral Vectors for Cell Engineering

When the right combination of reporter genes or TAAs isn’t available for the desired tumor model cell line, Imanis also offers ready-to-use lentiviral vectors. Designed for stable transduction of immortalized tumor cell lines, lentiviral vectors are available for several common reporters and TAAs. If you’re not comfortable doing your own cell engineering, we’re happy to help with our Custom Cell Line Generation.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Tumor Cell Lines

Get answers to common questions about tumor cell lines:

A lot can change when you move from a culture dish to a mouse model, which means models need to be troubleshooted before they can be reliably used to answer questions. In vivo validated models have already gone through this process, giving you one less thing to worry about when starting mouse studies.
