Ordering and shipping FAQ
How do I place an order?
Domestic orders can be placed on our website, over the phone, or by Purchase Order through email. International orders can be placed over the phone or by PO (email). Please visit the “Ordering” tab on the Contact Us page for more information about the order process.
How much does shipping cost?
For most domestic orders, shipping is $115. There are two exceptions: plasmids cost $35 and orders containing VSV cost $300 for domestic shipping.
For international orders, shipping varies based on location and the products ordered. Our standard carrier for international shipments is DHL. For most orders to Canada, shipping is $175. For most orders to western Europe, shipping is $285. And for most orders to Asia and eastern Europe, shipping $355. Will you ship products internationally?
Yes! We are happy to ship most of our products internationally. However, at this time, we are unable to ship any VSV products outside of the US. Some of our other oncolytic viruses also have restrictions regarding which countries we can ship to, so contact us at email@example.com for more information.
Also, keep in mind that each country has its own set of rules and regulations regarding import of biological products. We will work with you to ensure safe and timely delivery of any products and provide documentation as necessary. However, it is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any specific documentation that is needed for shipments to pass through customs.
Can I pay for shipping using my own FedEx (DHL or UPS) account?
Certainly! Contact us if you wish to pay for shipping using your own DHL or FedEx account. To cover the costs of packaging materials and dry ice, a handling fee will be assessed ($35 for domestic orders and $75 or $100 for international orders depending on the destination). Unfortunately, we cannot ship orders via UPS at this time.
How do I know if a product is in stock?
We work diligently to ensure that the majority of our products are kept in stock and ready for immediate shipping. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to check the status of a specific product.
What information do I need to provide when placing an order?
When placing an order, we will need to know the item(s) you wish to purchase, the shipping and billing information, and payment information. If you are paying by purchase order/invoice, we may also require a complete Credit Application. For any orders of VSV or vaccinia virus outside of Minnesota, we will also require a copy of your USDA permit before we can ship your order. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept ACH payments, wire transfers, and major credit cards. Wire transfers are assessed a transaction fee of $20 (domestic) or $40 (international). Contact email@example.com for more information about payments.
I live outside the US. Do you have any distributors I can work with?
For most countries, we do not have any specific distributors, and can work with you directly. However, we also understand that sometimes you may prefer to work through a distributor, so we are also happy to work with your distributor. For some countries we may be able to recommend a specific distributor.
