HT1080-EGFR-KO
Species | Human |
Cell Type | Fibrosarcoma |
Knockout | Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) |

Description
The HT1080-EGFR-KO cell line lacks endogenous EGFR expression, which is observed in parental HT1080 cells. The cells are designed for in vitro and in vivo studies of EGFR.
Parental HT1080 cells were transduced with CRISPR RNP to knock-out EGFR expression. The resulting polyclonal population underwent clonal selection and the selected clone is negative for EGFR expression.
This cell line has been tested for mycoplasma contamination and is certified mycoplasma free.
The parental HT1080 cell line was licensed and purchased directly from ATCC*.Replication Competent Lentivirus (RCL) Test (including a test report) is available for this cell line at an added cost. Contact us to learn more.

Morphology
Phase cell photo taken at 200x magnification
EGFR Expression
Cells were stained with isotype control antibody (grey) or anti-HuEGFR antibody (blue) and analyzed by flow cytometry.

Growth Conditions
Complete Growth Medium: High glucose DMEM supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) and 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin.
Note that these cells grow more slowly than parental HT1080 cells. Additionally, they will not form fully confluent monolayers.

Usage Information
These cells are suitable for in vitro and in vivo experimentation.
