Reporter Gene Lentiviral Vectors and Plasmids

Imanis offers a wide-variety of reporter gene lentiviral vectors and plasmids. Our vectors are ready-to-use particles for safe and effective reporter gene delivery into a broad range of cell types, including primary cells and other difficult-to-transfect cell types, while our plasmids can be used to generate lentiviral vector particles. Select from our list of optical, nuclear, or photoacoustic reporter genes, below, to find the lentiviral vector or plasmid that’s right for you!

Stable, high reporter gene expression

All our lentiviral vectors are pseudotyped with VSV.G protein, facilitating efficient transduction of diverse cell types across multiple species. When transduced into cells, the lentiviral vector transgenes integrate into the target cell genome resulting in stable reporter gene expression. Most of our lentiviral vectors utilize the spleen focus-forming virus (SFFV) promoter for constitutive, high-level reporter gene expression in a wide-variety of mammalian cells. Compared to other commonly-used promoters, such as the cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter, the SFFV promoter is less susceptible to epigenetic silencing, making it a superior choice for longitudinal imaging in vivo.

Versatility

Don’t be limited to a single transgene. Perform multi-modal imaging using one of our lentiviral vectors that encodes multiple reporter genes, such as enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP), firefly luciferase (Fluc), near-infrared fluorescent protein (iRFP), or the sodium iodide symporter (NIS). Or use one of our bicistronic lentiviral vectors that couples a reporter gene to an antibiotic resistance gene to select transduced populations enriched for high reporter gene expression.

Quality and Safety

All our lentiviral vectors undergo rigorous quality control testing to ensure accurate titer, sterility, and robust transgene expression. And to increase biosafety, all are self-inactivating.
